Hi! I'm a UK PhD student and love this list! I'm currently working on blogging my PhD efforts a little more, but being inherently private is something I have to get over. I find it so useful to hear of the experiences of others in my position and further down the line.

Anyway, I stumbled upon a really good blog the other day. You should all check it out for great insight into PhD life. http://www.jobs.ac.uk/blogs/real-life/

All the best! xx

I just wanted to say how much I appreciated your article highlighting PhD blogs. I agree that getting the word out that PhD scientists can communicate with the public is a very important concern, and I hope that by
more scientists writing blogs, and getting involved, we can accomplish that feat.

I completed my doctoral work in biomedical engineering in 2006, and just recently starting contributing to a blog. It's been such a rewarding experience -- reaching a larger audience with
good information is far more satisfying than any discovery I've made in the lab.

Thank you for the good information, and the outstanding service you provide on your site.
